Radiant Panel for Church Pews backs

This electric heating reduces bills and improves people well-being in churches and places of worship.

Inspired by the best Genius Carbon radiators (produced by Thermal Technology), the radiant panels are installed on the back of the church pews and can be tailored to any type of bench. The panels are made of painted steel and use carbon fiber resistors.

Why choose radiant panels to heat the church?

check

Special infrared heating that saves up to 80% of electricity compared to traditional heating systems for churches.

check

To reach the temperature of 65 ° C (on the surface) on a pew with 5 seats, you need only 500W.

check

It takes less than 7 minutes to obtain the thermal radiation effect and heat a person at a distance of 50/60cm.

check

The installation of the panels doesn't compromise the integrity of the church pew. It is simply fixed with two screws under the armrest and two screws under the seat.

check

It is possible to turn on only the church pews that need to be heated, thanks to the switch located on the panel.

check

Total protection of artworks and frescoes inside the church as the heating is located on the pews.

check

No changes in the structure or in the aesthetic appearance of the church. The panel blends in perfectly with the church pews.

Cheaper solution than other heating systems, fast and non-invasive installation.

Low consumption electric heating systems for churches can be:
1

Radiant panel for solid wood back
(cod. PC01.0.000.7A7)

In case of church pews with full wood backs, the radiant panel is placed on the back of the bench and heats the person seated from the front. On the surface, the panel reaches a radiation temperature of 65°C, perfect for ensuring comfort for a person at a distance of 50/60 cm.

2

Radiant panel for free back pew
(cod. PC02.0.000.7A7)

In case of church pews with free backs, the radiant panel is installed in the entire empty space and heats on both sides. The panel reaches a surface temperature of 65 ° C in the back, and 35 ° C in the front, thus heating the backrest and creating total comfort for people.

How to bring energy to the individual panels?

In most churches the floor is made of marble and therefore there is the problem of how to bring the power supply to the panels. There can be different solutions:

1

Special channel

One solution is to build a floor line with a special channel to bring the energy under each radiant panel with an economical and not at all invasive work, removable for every need.

2

Moquette

To maximize the heating effect, a custom-made moquette can be laid under the church pews and a line with a flat cable can be placed under it. In this way, a “thermal break” is also obtained between the cold floor and the people, improving their heating.

3

Wooden Platform

If the church pews are on a wooden platform, the power lines can pass under the platform and connect to the panel thanks to a small hole in the lower part.

Comparison of energy consumption between underfloor heating and radiant panels for church pews backs.

This means that in order to heat the pews and people during a traditional celebration you need to turn on the heating just for the actual time of use. For example, for a weekday celebration with 50 churchgoers arranged in 10 church pews, there will be an absorption of 5kW for 60 minutes, with a total consumption of 5kWh of energy (assuming the kWh price at € 0.40, the cost necessary for heating 50 people for the entire celebration is just € 2.00). If the Church has 60 pews (300 people), all powered on for the time of a Celebration, the consumption will be 30kWh, equal to € 12.00.
